Business modelling of distributed power production – BUSMOD

Distributed production and deregulation of the energy markets will change the way in which the market behaves. In Europe, the concept of distributed power production is concerned with the establishment and, not least, the harmonisation of market conditions, technical standards and regulatory frameworks among the European countries. Participation in BUSMOD provides us with an opportunity to become an active player in this process, to establish an overview of future trends, and to coordinate our domestic activities as they relate to the development of the European energy market. It is important to prepare the market participants and to conduct analyses based on the following scenarios which will be modelled as part of the project:

  • Extensive use of new renewable energy sources
  • Major focus on reliability and quality
  • Coalitions between consumers and producers in a deregulated environment
  • New energy products
