SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture Ltd with widened competence in aquaculture
Fugro OCEANOR’s aquaculture activities and projects, including the marine biologists Karl Tangen and Johanne Arff, have recently been transferred to SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture Ltd. They have been instrumental in the development and management of operational forecasting services to the aquaculture industry in Norway and since February the environmental forecasting reports have been prepared at SINTEF SeaLab and distributed to Gjensidige Insurance and If P&C Insurance and their customers. Their competence in toxic phytoplankton and other harmful plankton organisms adds on the competence of SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture and expands the services to the aquaculture and fisheries sector.
