The laboratories have up-to-date equipment for testing of products according to the new European classification system, including the Single Burning Item test (SBI).  SINTEF NBL also performs testing according to IMO regulations, Nordic regulations and according to several international test standards. A fully automatic cone calorimeter and a room corner test apparatus are also included in the list of fire test equipments.
